THE URBAN MURAL ART OF DAN23
November 19th, 2009Inspired by street art and the legends of music and culture, French artist Daniel Bussiere, or Dan23, is earning the respect of the urban art world. Instead of painting with a collection of spray cans, Dan23 uses traditional means to create pieces that rest on walls flanked by graffiti. Dan23’s subject matter are the greats of music and culture, with soul music legends like Ray Charles and James Brown and cultural icons like the Dalai Lama and Barack Obama. Most recently, Dan23 has been creating live paintings alongside touring acts in France, some of which are for sale on his cheval23 website.

2010 LOTUS EVORA
November 18th, 2009I usually don’t post things on cars, but after i saw the design I became very interested in the vehicle. It was first revealed by Lotus last May, the details on the 2010 Lotus Evora have been made fully official. The latest sports car from the famed British mark will be available in the ‘States for $73,500. The Evora is a sporty 4-seater with a 276HP engine capable of 60mph in less than 5 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 160mph. To put that in context, that’s both cheaper and faster than the latest model BMW 7-series, in addition to a 50% greater fuel economy rating at 32.5mpg. Continuing the BMW comparison, you’ve also got the rarity factor, meaning you’ll turn heads wherever you go in the Lotus Evora, instead of being just another face in the crowd…

November 16th, 2009The Marcus Beach House by BARK Design Architects is a prime example of just how beautiful, sustainable and natural contemporary living can be. Situated a few hundred meters from nearby Marcus Beach, this home rests on a sandy site with lush ferns, breezy palms and a 100-year-old Moreton Bay Ash as its centerpiece. BARK Design Architects protected the sanctity of the property’s nature by not only leaving it alone, but making it the focal point of the home’s architecture.
