My friend David introduced me to this band about a week ago, and I have been listening to them ever since. Matt Berninger has an Interpol sound to his voice, but definitely still has his own sound. Weird to say that, because I just compared them to Interpol, but you will see, just watch and listen.

This kind of pisses me off, because it is hard for a lot of people to be able to even afford a laptop, monitor or computer, but they feel they have the right to destroy a perfectly good operating monitor. Maybe I am just in a ranting mood, but i think it is bullshit. Someone has been watching a little to much of the movie “The Still Life” and trying to be an artist of “destruction” aka destruction-ism. The film was by Joel Miller. visit there site and check out the movie http://www.thestilllifemovie.com

Finally Apple, through their infinite graces, has bestowed upon man the ability to shoot video with the iPhone… and there was much rejoicing. But of course man has a way of being dissatisfied and people grouched about inferior lenses and a mic that’s always pointed towards the floor. Now the OWLE iPhone Video/Rig solves that problem using anodized billet aluminum, a mini boom-mic and a wide angle lens. Simply nestle your iPod inside the metal and silicone case of the OWLE and get ready to shoot the best iPhone video you’ve ever seen. Still shots turn out great as well. The shoe mount on the top and screw mounts on the corners of the OWLE let you do things with the iPhone Apple never planned on.

ILLUSTRATIONS BY MARTINE JOHANNA

December 23rd, 2009

Martine Johanna illustrates a very surreal exotic type of art that just amazes me, the compositing of all types of characters and themes. I am a big fan of her work.

BIO
‘floating between contemporary illustration, art nouveau and Victorian lowbrow’
Martine Johanna is aiming for an artisan craftsmanship that reflects her individual handwriting and personality. The beauty of plain graphite, paper and an emotional breath is sometimes all it needs to make it work. Creating a unlikely universe in the shape of sometimes dark feminine fairy tales, where a deep bond with her inner world comes to life.

Martine Johanna; ‘I grew up in a small village, dreaming of other realities than mine, my fantasy rescued me then. Since I slowly found my way back to my pencils in 2006, I again get lost in this other reality. When I draw or paint, the world becomes translucent and fluid. Like the tale of Alice, but I am not a lost girl, I am the dark wanderer over rooftops, sliding into your dreams’.

They tend to have a very cinematic feel in their photography, and i enjoy it. They enjoy entering the idea process at an early stage and they like doing their own retouching….

Their commercial clients include Toyota, SFR France, Dagens Nyheter, Skandia and Rodebjer. The editorial assignments inlcude Bon, Fjords, Odd, and NK Stil.

SAMSUNG S9110 WATCHPHONE

December 22nd, 2009

This phone is a very high tech “dick tracy” style watch, we all remember that cartoon as kids, but it seems to have become more of a reality to call from your watch and “talk to your watch”. I would like to check this thing out in person and give it a little review, because I hope it performs as good as it looks. This will cost you a price of about 650 – 750.
