Glenbrook Residence

November 9th, 2011

Architect David Jameson designed the Glenbrook Residence in Bethesda, Maryland. I really love the details of this building, the door design and structure is amazing, the stone walls along with the very modern home. amazing design along the journey up the stairs along with the medium dark wooden walls and garage doors. The building is made of all natural materials with a 100-year lifespan and features an underground spring-fed water furnace HVAC system.

Barnes Coy Architects designed this residence on the Caribbean island of St. Barthelemy. The Facades are floor-to-ceiling glass panels and the glass panels part at the corner and slide into the exterior walls, opening the house completely and allowing the Pennsylvania Limestone wall to extend beyond without interruption.

The new Inntel hotel in Zaandam is without a shadow of a doubt already the main eye-stopper in the revamped town centre and a building that has set many tongues wagging in the Netherlands. The iconic green wooden houses of the Zaan region were the fount of inspiration for the hotel’s designer, Wilfried van Winden (WAM architecten, Delft). The structure is a lively stacking of various examples of these traditional houses, ranging from a notary’s residence to a worker’s cottage. The hotel opens its doors to guests from 18 March. amongst the sloppy sands of Argentina Mar Azul Forest lies an astounding architectural piece by BAK Arquitectos. A quick hike from the Atlantic coast is a concrete house a few hundred miles from Buenos Aires. If you feel the need to escape the chaotic shorelines of Argentina you can visit this inland paradise just hike away from the beach. To spend a weekend in Argentina would just be amazing and to have this to stay in on top of it would just be dream.

HOEBER RESIDENCE BY QB

January 12th, 2010

This build by QB stuns me, because I am such a fan of this loft style industrial building. I am in love with every element of this creation, from the white old painted bricks to the light color wood paneled floor. The white tied in with the very natural colors is everything I live for, to some it maybe a bit dull and boring, but the simplicity really just gets me off. If you also notice the white space in this place is constructed very well and dispersed magnificently. The island kitchen also just does it for me and the use of storage for all types of things. This has to be my favorite interior of 2009 and the start of 2010, which I would love to see something that tops this. So if you have something in mind, post a comment and send it my way!!!

This is a very unique architectural house completed on a hilltop in 2004. The design was built under very challenging conditions, which were generated by modern problems that come along with building on a hill side. I love the white and modern look of this contemporary masterpiece.
