UPSIDE DOWN HOUSE IN SZYMBARK POLAND

Known as the “Upside Down House”, this property is a hallmark for tourists who flock there to experience its unusual shape first hand. The message behind the home is neat. Daniel Czapiewski is a philanthropist and businessman that built this property as a statement about former communist rule in Poland and its impact on the Polish People.

BETWEEN BEING BORN AND DYING EXHIBITION
November 1st, 2009Legendary artist of conceptual art, Barbara Kruger has recently opened her “Between Being Born and Dying” instillation in New York City. Commenting on modern society’s obsession with constant media bombardment the exhibition uses her signature bold text to encapsulate environments from floor to ceiling in inescapable monochrome comments on political issues, feminism, consumerism, individual autonomy, and desire. The exhibition is at The Lever House Art Collection in New York until November 21st.
