This spring Ray-Ban introduces Rare Prints, a limited edition batch of custom-designed patterned Wayfarers.

To launch the Rare Prints line, we commissioned a small batch of the world’s most talented poster artists to create hand-printed, individually numbered posters inspired by the glasses, making the advertising as rare as the glasses themselves.

Martine Johanna is aiming for an artisan craftsmanship that reflects her individual handwriting and personality. The beauty of plain graphite, paper and an emotional breath is sometimes all it needs to make it work. Creating a unlikely universe in the shape of sometimes dark feminine fairy tales, where a deep bond with her inner world comes to life.

Martine Johanna; ‘I grew up in a small village, dreaming of other realities than mine, my fantasy rescued me then. Since I slowly found my way back to my pencils in 2006, I again get lost in this other reality. When I draw or paint, the world becomes translucent and fluid. Like the tale of Alice, but I am not a lost girl, I am the dark wanderer over rooftops, sliding into your dreams’.
